From circuit diagram to
complete documentation

Engineering, production and maintenance work from the same project status.

We create EPLAN projects for new machines, modifications and existing plants. Functional descriptions, load data and I/O data form the basis. Circuit diagrams, terminals, cables, part data and the control cabinet layout are maintained together. Approved changes are carried through consistently in drawings and reports. The handover includes the native EPLAN project, PDF documentation and the agreed production data.

New systems
and modifications

We handle complete projects or clearly defined engineering work packages.

At the start of the project, we agree the EPLAN version, page structure, device tags, preferred manufacturers and handover formats. For modifications, the existing project status is retained. New drives, sensors, actuators and control components are incorporated into the project.

New systems · machine extensions · retrofit · defined work packages

Interim versions are provided for technical review and approval.

Existing drawings
and as-built documentation

The drawing status is checked against the existing machine or plant.

Missing or outdated circuit diagrams are rebuilt from available documents, photographs and the actual plant. Older EPLAN projects can be migrated; paper drawings, PDFs and third-party formats are redrawn in EPLAN. Open points and deviations are clarified before handover.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about electrical design

Which documents are required at the start of a project?

Functional descriptions, load and I/O lists, existing circuit diagrams, preferred components and customer standards are useful.

If documents are missing, we establish the actual status from photographs or directly at the machine or plant.

Can you work to existing EPLAN and customer standards?

Yes. The EPLAN version, page structure, device tags, master data, preferred manufacturers and output formats are agreed before work begins.

Existing project templates and macros can be adopted if they are complete and suitable for the agreed version.

Can missing or outdated circuit diagrams be documented?

Yes. We compare the available documents with the actual plant and rebuild the current status in EPLAN.

Paper drawings, PDF files and third-party formats can be used as a basis. Any points that cannot be established clearly are marked and resolved before completion.

Which data is handed over when the project is complete?

You normally receive the native EPLAN project and complete PDF documentation. Agreed lists and reports are included as well.

For a design produced with Pro Panel, layout and production data can also form part of the handover.

Do you also design the control cabinet layout?

Yes. With EPLAN Pro Panel, we plan mounting plates, component positions, space requirements and, when required, production data for mechanical machining.

This requires suitable part data and the necessary dimensions of the components used.
