Control cabinet building to
ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61439

Every control cabinet is designed for its machine, control system and installation site.

We manufacture control and switchgear cabinets for new plants, extensions and retrofit projects. Existing circuit diagrams or an EPLAN design prepared with us provide the basis. The layout, components, cable routes, heat dissipation and accessibility are agreed before production begins. For conversions, we account for the available installation space and existing interfaces. Assembly and wiring follow the approved project documents. Testing, documentation and, if required, installation at the plant complete the work.

Assembly and
wiring

A clear layout simplifies commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Mounting plates, DIN rails, cable ducts, terminals and operating elements are arranged according to the design. Cables and equipment are clearly identified. Space reserves, cooling and access to maintenance-relevant components are considered in line with the project requirements.

Testing and
commissioning

The control cabinet is tested before delivery and the results are documented.

The tested cabinet is handed over with the corresponding documents. On request, we install and connect it at the machine and carry out functional testing and commissioning together with the control and plant systems.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about control cabinet building

What documents are required for an initial assessment?

Current circuit diagrams, layout drawings, bills of materials and information about the machine and installation site are helpful. The required enclosure dimensions, environmental conditions and interfaces should also be known.

If the design is incomplete, we first clarify which engineering work is still required before manufacturing can begin.

Can you manufacture from customer-supplied drawings?

Yes. We manufacture from approved project documents and check whether the information required for assembly, wiring and testing is complete.

Necessary changes or component alternatives are agreed before they are implemented and are reflected in the final documentation.

Which standards and specifications apply?

The relevant Austrian and European requirements and the technical specifications of the project provide the basis. Low-voltage switchgear assemblies are generally built to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN 61439.

The exact design and test scope is defined before manufacturing begins, as it depends on the cabinet and its intended use.

How are testing and handover documented?

The control cabinet is tested before delivery in accordance with the agreed scope. The tests performed and their results are recorded in a test report.

The cabinet is handed over with the applicable drawing revision and the agreed technical documents.

Do you also convert and install existing control cabinets?

Yes. We replace obsolete components, extend existing cabinets and build replacement cabinets as part of plant modernisation projects.

On request, we handle installation, connection, functional testing and commissioning directly at the machine or plant.
